Introducing a new clinic to the Hidden Valley community

With the further development of the Hidden Valley Resort and Retirement Community, the need for a flexible but local medical service is becoming apparent. That’s why we created Hidden Valley Medical Services through GenWise Health, a virtual health clinic.

We are a group of Family Physicians (General Practitioners) who are based in Hidden Valley (VIC 3756) but usually work out of medical offices in Romsey, Lancefield and Kilmore. We are interested in offering the following to Hidden Valley Residents/Visitors:

1) home visits (exclusive to Hidden Valley VIC 3756)

2) case management

3) shared medical appointments upon request

4) workshops relating to health upon request

About our Family Physicians (General Practitioners)

Dr Rachel Oommen BSc (Hons) MSc MD CCFP FRACGP FASLM

Rachel is a Canadian trained family physician with a special interest in lifestyle medicine, preventive health and chronic disease management. She has obtained extra qualifications as a small group facilitator and can offer shared medical appointments and workshops in addition to comprehensive general practice.

Dr Fabian Schwarz BSc MBBS DCH MPH FRACGP FARGP CCFP

Fabian is an Australian trained rural generalist and has a special interest in people and their stories, and bringing personal aspects into contemporary medical education – going beyond mere medical fact. He has undergone extra training in counselling, emergency medicine, public health, paediatrics, psychological strategies and care of the elderly. Through his work in remote health and RFDS, he has developed a particular skill in individualised clinical risk assessment and management, and can offer this as part of comprehensive general practice. He continues to be involved in medical education.
